Community Involvement

At Amalgamated Life Insurance Company we seek to make a positive difference in the communities where our employees live and work. Accordingly, we support a broad range of charitable organizations and causes. In addition, we encourage our employees to pursue volunteer work opportunities and we sponsor many community-based events throughout the year.

Charities Committee:
Amalgamated Life Insurance Company’s Charities Committee is an invaluable resource for our employees and their extended families and communities. The Committee meets regularly and reviews suggestions from employees for supporting charitable causes. Committee members also initiate involvement in worthy programs that they believe are appropriately aligned with employees’ charitable goals and interests.

Over the years a few of our colleagues have passed away, leaving young families behind. Our Charities Committee has assisted the children at the time of the parent’s death by giving an education contribution. In addition, the Committee runs several events throughout the year to continue adding to the education funds of these children, for New York’s homeless children, annual food, coat and toy drives.
